Thru, Inc. Achieves 33% Revenue Growth
Increased Demand for Managed File Transfer in the Cloud Drives Customer Acquisitions
Tuesday, October 25, 2011 – Dallas, Texas – Thru, Inc., a cloud innovator of high-performance, enterprise class managed file transfer (MFT) solutions reports Q3 2011 as another strong quarter, in a string of solid quarterly results, with 33% year-over-year revenue growth. Thru has grown more than 75% in the last three years attributing its significant progress to the now obvious demand for proven business-focused cloud services that allow organizations to easily exchange, share, and manage data across the globe.
“Organizations continue to migrate to the cloud – rationalizing IT portfolios, consolidating technologies, while looking at cost structures,” said Lee Harrison, CEO of Thru. “Thru has always focused on the business use of the cloud and does not support millions of free casual users that create a serious load and risk to the enterprise customer, delivering an enterprise-class service with tier one partners like IBM and NTT. We are seeing accelerated adoption of our content delivery network which, in addition to enhancing customer support, meets stringent revenue recognition requirements—this is key for independent software vendors who need to distribute and track their software deliveries on a global scale. Thru’s exclusive combination of our global edge network integrated directly in to CRMs, like Salesforce.com, has become a more functional and financially viable alternative to traditional and more expensive content delivery networks.”
In addition to independent software companies, Thru continued to see strength in other key verticals—AEC, business services, financial services, and healthcare—collectively accounting for a significant number of new customers in Q3 2011. Thru also recognized substantial momentum in Europe since opening its UK office in June 2011. Thru continues to be committed to global expansion in concert with delivering enterprise class customer experiences around the world.
Recent enhancements to Thru’s enterprise connectors (Salesforce, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Outlook and SharePoint), as well as expanded access to Thru’s file transfer platform API, are enabling companies to simply integrate file sharing and management functionality into their existing business applications and workflows, optimizing their business processes while lowering costs.
“I was attracted to Thru due to their keen business focus and because Thru’s managed file transfer solution is built on a secure global platform which is more flexible and scalable than any solution I’ve seen,” said Thomas Skybakmoen, former Gartner analyst and current VP of Marketing & Product Strategy at Thru.
Increased demand for cloud-based managed file transfer is driving the MFT market; according to industry analysts, the cloud MFT market is expected to grow more than 25% year over year. Entering its 10th year in business, Thru is well-positioned to stay in the forefront of the competition and continue to outperform and capitalize on the expanding market in this quarter and beyond.
Thru, Inc., the leading business focused cloud-based managed file transfer platform, trusted to distribute and track large amounts of information quickly and securely across the globe. Thru was named a “Cool Vendor” by Gartner, Inc. in the Cool Vendors in Platforms as a Service 2011 report. For more information, go to www.thruinc.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
