Senior Software EngineeR

Thru has an immediate opening for senior software engineer specializing in Microsoft ASP.NET development.

We are looking for an engineer capable of working in the fast-pace environment on our software applications and services.   

Responsibilities include rapid enhancement of existing features and development of next generation of AJAX-enabled Web application that interfaces with Thru secure communication and content archiving products and services.  Development environment is .NET Framework 2.0/3.x, C#, JavaScript and ASP.NET.  Primary focus of that position will be development of the front-end GUI for Thru Web application, but can include other back-end development tasks. The position requires a solid and thorough understanding of the ASP.NET environment, n-tier application design, and modern web development technologies.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or higher, or equivalent work experience is required.  Microsoft developer certifications are a plus.

Thru is a fast growing company, a candidate must be able to collaborate well with others, locally and remotely via email/IM/skype, have excellent communication skills to work with both technical and business staff.

Requirements
Candidates must have the following experience and skills:

• 4+ Experience in development of web GUI with ASP.NET/Web forms, using C# and JavaScript. Experience with  AJAX – based development.. Expert knowledge of  HTML, CSS, DHTML, AJAX and DOM.
• A strong working knowledge developing cross-browser dynamic web applications.
• Experience in web user interface usability designs.
• 4+ yrs experience in general server and web application development using C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET in Visual Studio environment.
• Willingness and patience to read and enhance the code written by others
• Ability to write development documentation.

Candidates with the following qualities and skills are preferred:

• Experience in development of network applications on .NET platform, including design of Web Services (SOAP, XML) or email applications and protocols (SMTP, MIME, S/MIME). Development with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Experience designing Windows Services in C#.
• MCP or similar certification from Microsoft in the .NET-based application development
