Thru Showcases The Thru Secure Communication Network™ (SCN) At Gartner Compliance & Risk Management Summit 2008
New Software-as-a-service (SaaS) Delivers Maximum Uptime, Rapid File Transfers and Effective Security for B2B and B2C Communication
Thru, a global leader in delivering critical messaging solutions, today announced the launch of the Thru Secure Communication Network™ (SCN) brand of software-as-a-service (SaaS) at the Gartner Compliance & Risk Management Summit 2008. The Thru SCN scales and synchronizes private information exchange, as well as content archiving globally. The Thru SCN is deployed on the Enterprise Hosting platform and Global Tier 1 IP backbone provided by NTT America in the US, and through its parent company NTT Communications in Europe and Asia. Thru’s former managed service offerings are now part of the Thru SCN.
The Thru SCN provides a highly efficient and easy to use service with global network interconnectivity and bandwidth that simplifies outbound content protection, large file delivery and active archiving. The Thru SCN addresses the needs of firms with global teams and supply chains more efficiently and reliably than traditional tools, including standard email clients and FTP. Also, Thru’s patent-pending Distributed Content Synchronization (DCS) technology premiers with the launch of the Thru SCN, enabling secure streaming of content across wide-area networks at local networking speeds.
“Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) is a major industry shift in how IT products and business applications are acquired and deployed,” says Jeanine Banks, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Thru. “Thru is delivering Thru SCN service on the world-class Enterprise Hosting and IP backbone services platform provided by NTT America in a one-stop shopping arrangement. Ultimately, businesses of all sizes will benefit from its ease-of-use and low maintenance, helping to optimize the communications infrastructure and reduce operational overhead.”
“We are pleased that Thru has selected NTT America to provide a global infrastructure for their SCN Managed Services,” said Don Goodwin, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Enterprise Hosting, NTT America. “We are uniquely positioned to not only support SaaS solutions on our Enterprise Hosting platform, but also to offer a one-stop shop in the US for global communications and IT services through our parent company, NTT Communications.”
