We are pleased to announce that Thru’s secure file sharing and collaboration solution is available to the UK public sector through the G-Cloud 8 framework released on August 1st. Thru is located under the software-as-a-service section in the Digital Marketplace.
The G-Cloud framework was started in 2012 as an initiative by the UK government to encourage the widespread adoption of cloud solutions by UK public sector organizations. This framework makes it quicker and cheaper for organizations to find and buy cloud-based solutions rather entering into individual procurement contracts.
With many organizations in the UK still using unmanaged solutions like FTP to exchange sensitive information, there is a big need for file sharing processes to undergo a digital transformation. Since 2012, Thru has been available through G-Cloud to help organizations move away from outdated file sharing methods to a modern solution that has enterprise-grade security. With Thru, organizations can give both internal and external users the ability to sync and share files from any device and access the platform from multiple applications like Outlook, Salesforce, and more.
