MF + MT = MFT —– Both Elements Are Equally Important
Today I had a conversation with a good colleague and we got into the idea of governance as it relates to MFT. Now I stumble on governance because of the hype (heck I use it no less than 15 times on this blog alone) but the idea of the lifecycle of a managed file transfer is intriguing.

Information Governance with Thru

Information Governance With Thru
Thanks to record retention and information privacy regulations, as well as an increase in electronic discovery events, IT must find new ways to manage information as volumes of data continue to grow. While some IT departments can afford to deploy multiple solutions such as content archiving, encryption and filtering technology, others turn to less functional methods such as FTP servers, e-mail quotas and other ad-hoc measures to deal with all of these challenges. Thru provides customers with a unified way to take several secure, auditable actions with e-mail and unstructured files, including data residing in Microsoft SharePoint. Because Thru can easily integrate into an existing business process involving file sharing as well as any messaging environment, customers can quickly derive the benefits of a comprehensive information governance strategy.
