To automate different actions (e.g. Anti-virus scans, notifications, file transfers) to files in your Thru site with Thru OptiFLOW, you need to set up Processors. Like with Sources, these processors are set up for specific folders on your Thru site and performs actions on a scheduled basis.

Currently there are three different processors to choose from: Pass-through, Name Patterns and Anti-Virus Scan. Read the definitions of each processor below:

Pass-through – This processor can automate several actions (file moves, file transfers, notifications) to all files that are placed into a certain folder on your Thru site. Example: If you want to set up a workflow where all files added to Folder A on your Thru Site are copied to an external repository (FTPS, S3, etc.), you would use a Pass-through processor.

Name Patterns – This processor can perform the same actions as the Pass-through processor, but the actions are made based on custom patterns that you set up. Example: If you want to set up a workflow where PDF files added to Folder A on your Thru site that begin with “Bid1” are copied to an external repository (FTPS, S3, etc.), you can set up with a Name Patterns processor.

Anti-Virus Scan – This processor performs virus scans to files being pulled in and pushed out of your Thru site.

Follow the steps below to add processors:

  1. Select the pencil icon from the control panel menu.
  2. Next, select the plus (+) sign that is below Processors. The “Add Processor” window opens.

  1. Choose a processor to set up (Pass-through, Name Patterns, Anti-Virus Scan).
