After accepting the treeMailS license agreement you can select whether you want to install the first treeMailS server or add an additional one. In the same dialog, please confirm that you also want to install the MFT Bridge “Install MFT Bridge on treeMailS Server”.

In the next step, please specify the program path for your Lotus Domino server installation. The installer will try to automatically detect and display the path. As you are also installing the MFT Bridge, the installer automatically suggests a temporary path for the data upload from the Lotus Domino server to Thru.

In the next dialog, you see the basic parameters of the treeMailS configuration. These include the two server processes (adminstraion process and signature process), the subdirectory where the treeMailS databases will be stored, the name and description of the treeMailS Gateway database, the group of users authorized for the administration of treeMailS and the URL-Address of Thru Server.

After pressing the “Forward” button you have to enter the “THRU application ID” (normally you do not have to change this parameter) and your “THRU password for SSO”. Keep in mind that you have also to customize your Thru Server for this password.

In the next dialog you will be asked for your standard company address. This is necessary for the treeMailS standard signature process to automatically assign a company profile to each user. The parameter “Assign this profile to the following group” should contain a Lotus Domino group for all MFT users.

If your server is password-protected, please enter the password for the ID file.

After a short waiting period you see the confirmation that treeMailS was installed successfully.

IMPORTANT:
To activate treeMailS you have to restart the Lotus Domino server. This can also be done later after customizing of your treeMailS / MFT system.

If you are using Thru Web Cloud Service it’s necessary that you add the following Entry to your NOTES.INI on your domino server (TLS1.2 must be deactivated):
SSL_DISABLE_TLS_12=1

After restarting the Lotus Domino server you will see the treeMailS server tasks in the Domino console (“show task”). As you also installed the MFT Bridge, the corresponding threads “MFT Upload”, “MFT Download” and “MFT Internal” are also displayed.

Note: After installation, the permission for the Administrators group must be reassigned within the access control to view the button “MFT Bridge Configuration”. For this purpose open the access control and remove the role “MFTAdmin” for the Administrators group, then confirm with Ok. Then open again the access control and sets the role “MFTAdmin” again.

Note: If you install treeMailS/MFT on an additional Lotus Domino Server, it is recommended to shut down this Domino Server before you start the treeMailS installation wizard.
