Thru, Inc. Acquires Digital Asset Management Vendor Rumble Australia Pty Ltd

Thru extends its leadership position in secure cloud-based content management and delivery

Dallas, Texas, April 26, 2012 – Thru, Inc., a cloud innovator of high-performance, enterprise class services Managed File Transfer (MFT) and Thru Dropbox™, today announced that it has acquired Rumble Australia Pty Ltd, a leading provider in Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions that provide managed storage, optimized access, secure managed delivery of all forms of an enterprises’ digital brand related assets. The acquisition strengthens Thru’s portfolio of cloud-based services for the enterprise.

Rumble provides a digital asset management solution specifically designed to store, manage, search, retrieve and re-purpose corporate collateral and brand assets. This includes any asset deemed to contain ‘brand value’ to the organization such as: style guides, logos, images, corporate policies and procedures, templates, brochures, audio, video, newsletters, reports, 3D and any other form of digital file. The digital asset metadata are captured and indexed (e.g. its origins, its version, its purpose and its relation to other assets), and rights and permissions are specified down to the level of individual category and user, such as the ability to only view and download. Thru’s Cloud Managed File Transfer platform with its expansive Web Services API and flexible SOA architecture has been deployed in many content management applications.
