Thru Launches OptiSPEED™ – Offers Up to 20X Speed Increase in File Transfer

Irving, TX, December 6, 2016 – Thru, a leading provider of enterprise file sync and share solutions (EFSS), today announced the launch of OptiSPEED™, a cloud optimized routing solution that delivers up to 20X performance gains.

This comes as a new addition to Thru’s current portfolio of solutions and is aimed to help accelerate sending and receiving files for its enterprise customer needs in a variety of scenarios including remote locations, mission critical transfers and where file sizes are massive. Thru is trusted by major multinational corporations, and provides customers with a highly secure service with encryption, application integration, Office 365 integration, local language support, auditing, and access management. Some of its customers include Visa, EMC, MWH Global, Berghof Group, and Synopsis.

“With OptiSPEED, we are able to offer our customers a secure collaboration solution with peak speeds and performance, irrespective of geography,” said Kevin Westenkirchner, VP, Operations for Thru, Inc. “The ability to increase delivery speeds substantially across the globe with no changes to our infrastructure or secure service offerings is a huge plus for customers and partners.”

The solution not only improves transfer speed drastically but also ensures no compromises on compliance and security: OptiSPEED is transparent to all traffic with no caching of data at any point. The solution also allows to blacklist certain domains to maintain governance over all data transactions under any circumstances. All transactions within the solution are also recorded in a database so IT administrators can view and report exactly when data is being touched and know who is performing what actions.

Additionally Gartner, the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, recently included Thru as a key vendor for its strength in infrastructure modernization in their report, Critical Capabilities for Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing. Their report indicates Thru’s focus on high-speed file transfer and states, “Beyond file sharing and synchronization, Thru is prioritizing its focus on high-speed file transfers, security, workflows, a mobile UI, integration with repositories, and content management with metadata. Most recently, Thru has concentrated its efforts on solving secure file sharing needs for businesses with remote offices operating on high-latency networks (like satellite connections) and on workflow automation.”
