To give customers a simpler way to retrieve software builds, patches and updates; the company chose Thru as its software distribution system to integrate with Salesforce.
Before choosing Thru, ACI Worldwide acquired multiple distribution systems due to company acquisitions. Slowly over time the company attempted to combine these systems with an existing FTP system, but this became very cumbersome to use. To streamline distribution and give customers an easier way to retrieve files, ACI searched for a software distribution solution that could consolidate all of its systems and integrate with its Salesforce environment that it uses for customer support.
After evaluating multiple vendors, ACI Worldwide chose Thru for its ability to distribute software builds/updates/patches to customers directly from Salesforce. Using the Thru API, the company designed a custom solution for Salesforce to manage software distribution and customer support file sharing processes. Thru’s powerful audit feature enables all software download transactions to be recorded and reported in Salesforce for revenue recognition.
