Lee Harrison founded Thru Inc. ten years ago with an obsession to design a comprehensive solution for companies file transfer needs. A seasoned executive with over two decades of management experience in technology companies, he guided the implementation of Thru’s robust cloud-based enterprise software. With his background in operations, financial control, engineering, sales and team leadership, Lee led Thru into Gartner’s magic quadrant and Cool Vendor status. Lee’s past roles include Director of Operations, Southwest Tele-productions where he guided the company through 40 consecutive profitable quarters. As Founder and CEO of I/O Partners, Inc., he drove the company to become the largest Systems Integrator (SI) for Discreet (a division of Autodesk). Within two years under his leadership, I/O Partners earned $27 million in revenue and in 2000 was named the 49th fastest growing entrepreneurial company in the U.S.
When not developing current and new ventures, Lee enjoys golf, snow and water skiing with his wife and two daughters.

Sergey Arutiunov, CTO

Sergey Arutiunov is a member of the Thru founding team and serves as Vice President of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Arutiunov has over 20 years experience in software design and engineering management, with the last 15 years in Silicon Valley, and collaborated with large technology and content companies such as Apple, IBM, Microsoft, and Disney. In his current role, he is responsible for development of all Thru client, server and network technologies, products and cloud services. Prior to joining Thru, Mr. Arutiunov was a leader of a number of software engineering teams in Silicon Graphics in the areas of digital media file management, internet infrastructure applications, and computer graphics. He also worked on a number of artificial intelligence applications in diverse areas. Mr. Arutiunov holds a Master degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Moscow University.

Ian Snead serves as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Thru, Inc. Mr. Snead is responsible for Thru’s global marketing strategy and overseas all sales related functions. Prior to Thru, Ian Snead joined with 15+ years as a sales and marketing leader focused on technology start-ups. Co-founder and VP of Sales for vzaar online video platform, Editopia the open source editing platform and Visions Media F/X a premier Autodesk partner. Mr. Snead started up a new division within marketing leader WPP (WPPGY) offering visual effects solutions to the gaming industry.

Denis Brotzel has over 20 years’ experience as a sales and field operations executive in both early to mid-stage start-ups and publicly-held technology companies. Mr. Brotzel has built direct sales teams and multiple distribution channels into enterprise, Federal and SMB markets with industry experience that includes internet messaging, security and compliance solutions delivered via software and SaaS platforms. Prior to joining Thru, Mr. Brotzel was the SVP of Worldwide Sales at Actiance, the leader in comprehensive security, management and compliance solutions for Unified Communications and Social Networking applications. Before that, Mr. Brotzel was SVP of Worldwide Sales at Code Green Networks. Prior to their acquisition by Axway, Mr. Brotzel was SVP of Worldwide Sales at Tumbleweed Communications (NASDAQ: TMWD), a leader in Managed File Transfer and secure messaging solutions. Mr. Brotzel has also held senior executive positions at EGS, Inc. (acquired by Invensys) and Measurex (acquired by Honeywell).

Subhashini Simha, Head of Product Marketing

Subhashini Simha oversees product planning and product marketing strategy for Thru’s product portfolio and is responsible for product roadmap planning, messaging, positioning, analyst relations and sales enablement. Ms. Simha comes with 12+ years of product marketing, product management and sales experience for enterprise software and services companies having worked for Microsoft (Microsoft Corp. and Microsoft India), Mphasis (formerly part of HP), Sabre and others on a set of technologies and solutions including Cloud (SaaS and PaaS), mobility, enterprise business applications and enterprise resource planning (ERP), Microsoft Office, unified communications, business intelligence and analytics with a focus on CxOs, developers, IT professionals and partners. Ms. Simha holds an Electronics and Communications Engineering degree (B Tech.) from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, India, and Post Graduate Program Certification in Marketing from University of Washington at Seattle.

Michael McCoy
Chairman of the Board

Michael McCoy has over 30 years of experience in Asian equity markets. After spending 10 years with Sun Hung Kai Securities and Hoare Govett in senior broking roles, he moved to CLSA, where he has spent the last 22 years. Mr. McCoy joined CLSA as a founding shareholder and Head of Asian Sales and has since held a range of senior positions, including Global Head Of Broking, Head of Investment Banking and Director of Marketing for CLSA Capital Partners from 2004 to 2007. Mr. McCoy rejoined CLSA Capital Partners as Executive Vice Chairman in 2012. He has a BA in Economics and History from the University of Michigan.

Lee Harrison was the founder of I/O Partners, Inc. of Dallas, Texas, and is an executive with more than 20 years of management experience. Trained as an engineer, Mr. Harrison has acquired extensive backgrounds in technology, television operations, digital asset management as well as business planning, finance, sales and marketing. The sales structure at I/O Partners focused on the highly competitive digital broadcast industry, accomplishing impressive revenue and growth. Mr. Harrison guided I/O Partners into becoming Discreet’s largest systems integrators worldwide and the company was named by Dun and Bradstreet as the 49th fastest growing entrepreneurial company in the U.S. CY 2000.

Rick Holliday-Smith

Rick Holliday-Smith has a substantially pedigreed executive leadership background, including Chairmanship of SFE Corporation Limited since 1999 until de-listing in July 2006. Mr. Holliday-Smith has served as Director of Cochlear Limited since 2005, named Chairman in 2010, DCA Group Limited since 2004, and MIA Group Limited (2000 – 2004) until acquired by DCA Group Limited in 2004. He has also served as Director for Servcorp Limited since 1999 and ASX Limited since July 2006, named Chairman in March 2012. Mr. Holliday-Smith has been Chairman of Snowy Hydro Limited since May 2006, and is the former Director of Exco Resources NL (1999 – 2006), former President of NationsBank-CRT, Chicago, and Managing Director of Hong Kong Bank Limited, London.

James Yonge AM

James Yonge AM has interests in New Zealand in commercial property and agriculture. In the 1980s, Mr. Yonge was Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Bank of Australia Group, a Member of the NSW Commission of Audit, Chairman of The Garvan Foundation, a director of the Garvan Institute for Medical Research, and Chairman of the Maritime Services Board of New South Wales. Mr. Yonge has been a member, officer and director of several other Australian institutions and companies.
