Lee Harrison founded Thru Inc. in 2002 with an obsession to design a comprehensive solution for companies file transfer needs. A seasoned executive with over two decades of management experience in technology companies, he guided the implementation of Thru’s robust cloud-based enterprise software. With his background in operations, financial control, engineering, sales and team leadership, Mr. Harrison led Thru into Gartner’s magic quadrant and Cool Vendor status. Mr. Harrison’s past roles include Director of Operations at Southwest Teleproductions, where he guided the company through 40 consecutive profitable quarters. As Founder and CEO of I/O Partners, Inc., he drove the company to become the largest Systems Integrator (SI) for Discreet (a division of Autodesk). Within two years under his leadership, I/O Partners earned $27 million in revenue and in 2000 was named the 49th fastest growing entrepreneurial company in the U.S.
When not developing current and new ventures, Mr. Harrison enjoys golf, snow and water skiing with his wife and two daughters.
Sergey Arutiunov is a member of the Thru founding team and serves as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Arutiunov has over 20 years experience in software design and engineering management, with the last 15 years in Silicon Valley, and collaborated with large technology and content companies such as Apple, IBM, Microsoft, and Disney. In his current role, he is responsible for development of all Thru client, server and network technologies, products and cloud services. Prior to joining Thru, Mr. Arutiunov was a leader of a number of software engineering teams in Silicon Graphics in the areas of digital media file management, internet infrastructure applications, and computer graphics. He also worked on a number of artificial intelligence applications in diverse areas.
Mr. Arutiunov holds a Master degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Moscow University.
As the Chief Financial Officer of Thru, Jeff Kight plays an integral role in formulating, directing and managing the company’s short- and long-term business model, as well as developing and implementing strategic plans. In addition, he oversees the financial health of the company, which includes supervising company-wide management, financial, and operational matters. He has over 15 years of experience building and operating companies across numerous industry verticals. With a background in investment, management, logistical engineering, mathematics, operations research, capital markets, risk analysis, valuation, and decision science, Mr. Kight has held a variety of roles as CFO, Director of Private Equity, President of a national healthcare information technology company, and CEO of a web-based marketing and data collection company.
Mr. Kight holds a Master of Engineering from MIT, an MBA from Georgetown University, and a BBA from Texas Christian University (TCU). When not devoting his time to professional endeavors, he enjoys military history, golf, and Redskins football.
Ian Snead serves as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Thru, Inc. Mr. Snead is responsible for Thru’s global marketing strategy and oversees all sales related functions. He joined Thru with 15+ years as a sales and marketing leader focused on technology start-ups. Mr. Snead was Co-founder and VP of Sales for vzaar online video platform, Editopia the open source editing platform and Visions Media F/X a premier Autodesk partner. Mr. Snead started up a new division within marketing leader WPP (WPPGY) offering visual effects solutions to the gaming industry.
Daniel Hurtubise is a member of the founding team and leads Thru Customer Success. A recognized leader with over 15 years of experience driving business solutions for global customers in diverse industries, Daniel uses his expertise in cultivating relationships with customers ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies. He comes with a strong background of customizing solutions based on stakeholder communications, process modeling and client needs analysis. He works with customers by leveraging a demonstrated history of improving customer satisfaction.
Mr. Hurtubise’s business experience encompasses North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Subhashini Simha oversees product planning and product marketing strategy for Thru’s product portfolio and is responsible for product roadmap planning, messaging, positioning, analyst relations and sales enablement. Ms. Simha comes with 12+ years of product marketing, product management and sales experience for enterprise software and services companies having worked for Microsoft (Microsoft Corp. and Microsoft India), Mphasis (formerly part of HP), Sabre and others on a set of technologies and solutions including Cloud (SaaS and PaaS), mobility, enterprise business applications and enterprise resource planning (ERP), Microsoft Office, unified communications, business intelligence and analytics with a focus on CxOs, developers, IT professionals and partners.
Ms. Simha holds an Electronics and Communications Engineering degree (B Tech.) from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, India, and Post Graduate Program Certification in Marketing from University of Washington at Seattle.
Kevin Westenkirchner oversees all of Thru operations, corporate IT infrastructure, security, data system architecture design, and support departments. Additionally he is responsible for Thru’s network infrastructure encompassing six globally distributed data centers. As Senior Systems Engineer with JB Hunt, a national logistics company, he managed over 60 servers and more than 350 MS SQL, DB2 and Oracle Databases. Mr. Westenkirchner joined Thru in 2010 as a senior system engineer and rapidly advanced to his current position. He thrives on the challenge his current position offers him and is extremely excited about the future of Thru.
Mr. Westenkirchner began his career in the military, serving as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy before graduating from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) with a BS in IFSM (Information Systems Management). Besides work, he is an active member of his church’s Men’s Ministry and enjoys spending time with his wife and his two sons.
Holger Jachtner offers fourteen years of channel marketing sales experience in enterprise software and services and Cloud and mobile application for both early to mid-stage start-ups and publicly held technology companies. Throughout his career, Mr. Jachtner has supported building multiple distribution channels into enterprise and SMB markets across EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) plus APAC (Asia-Pacific). His set of technology experience includes IT security at Websense and more recently at FireEye, data center virtualization at Rackwise, content management solutions at Interwoven (part of Autonomy HP), and network applications at F5 Networks.
Mr. Jachtner holds a BA degree in International Hotel Management with Marketing from Brighton University, UK.
